Brindleyplace Announced as Official Entertainment Zone for European Event
Brindleyplace, the award winning leisure and business destination, will be the Official Entertainment Zone for the European Athletics Indoor Championships, which is being staged at Birmingham’s NIA from 2-4 March.
The vibrant canalside destination, which is located in the heart of the city, will offer a varied programme of entertainment throughout the Championships, including a mascot race on 2nd March, a children’s activity day on 4th March and outdoor musical entertainment on every day of the event.
Brindleyplace’s many bars and restaurants will also be helping to create a festival atmosphere in the city and there will be a loyalty discount card available to spectators for use in Brindleyplace’s 30 restaurants, bars, cafés and shops throughout the event.

The City Inn in Brindleyplace has also been selected as one of the official hotels for the Championships and Bank, also located in Brindleyplace, is the official media restaurant for the event and will be hosting a reception for media from across the continent on Thursday 1st March.
Around 600 athletes from 50 European countries are expected to compete at the European Athletics Indoor Championships and crowds of more than 5,000 people a day are expected to be there to cheer them on.
